The NDIS Workforce Capability Framework describes this role as an Ancillary Worker for services funded under the NDIS. Persons in this role are responsible for keeping participants' homes clean and orderly by performing various cleaning duties.​​
Job Description
Cleaning Services: As detailed in participants' support plans.

General Tasks:
​• Check understanding of required tasks before starting.
• Implement hygiene and infection control procedures.
• Be alert to participants' distress or apathy.
• Adjust tasks to meet participants' needs and preferences.
• Record all work as per organisational requirements.
• Incorporate Child Safe Standards when working with children.
• Willingness to travel and maintain confidentiality
• Report any risks of harm to participants, including
children and young people.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
​• General: Always check your understanding of the participant's required.
​• Tidying: Empty rubbish bins and remove refuse and recyclables.
​• Sanitising: Clean kitchens, bathrooms, and toilets.
​• Dusting and Polishing: Furniture and homewares.
​• Windows: Clean and polish glass surfaces.​​
